Aerodynamics where it matters most
The frame is both aerodynamic and light, achieved by using a more triangular shape than a typical aero shape, it retains strength and aerodynamics in a compact shape. Our carbon fork uses aero fork blades which cuts through the air, allowing for less resistance and higher performance. The internal clamp is neat, secure and strong, it also fits into the aerodynamics of the frame, making for less air drag when compared to an external clamp. The frame uses a tapering tubing profile to allow as much air as possible to flow freely along the frame, making it even more aerodynamic, yet super stiff with the use of large tubing diameters and sharp shaping. The curved shape of the tubes maximize the aerodynamics.
The Scalera range is a race-bred high performance carbon platform. This platform combines stiffness and aerodynamics into a highly attractive package. The carbon layup is stiff and lightweight and has been carefully tuned to meet the high demands of racing cyclists. The Scalera frame allows the internal use of both Di2 and mechanical cabling, making it a flexible frame platform for all groupsets.
Our carbon fork uses aero fork blades to cut through the air and a large cross section to remain stiff and strong.
The BB area is made as large as possible, with down tube tubing enveloping the BB width for maximum stiffness and acceleration. This is helped by use of the FSA BB386EVO system.
The internal clamp is neat, secure and strong. It also fits into our aerodynamics structure of the frame, making for less air drag over an external clamp.
The rear stays use truncated aero tubing profiles that are small in cross section to be comfortable, yet compact in overall size to remain stiff and responsive.
The top tube uses an almost horizontal level with a tapering tubing profile to allow as much air as possible to flow freely along the top tube, making it aerodynamic, yet super stiff with the use of large tubing diameters and sharp shaping.
This head tube combines 1 1/8” upper bearings with 1.5” lower bearings for great steering ac- curacy and front end stiffness. The curved shape maximises the aerodynamics while remaining strong, stiff and light in construction.
